VPF-Amsterdam stocks a wide range of binding tape in different finishes, colours and sizes. Binding tape is available in self adhesive and machine version.

Our standard tape collection is available from stock in 16 mm width. Some colours of self adhesive Chintz tape are also abailable in 19 mm wide directly from stock.
We can cut binding tape in different widths on demand. Minumum width is 6 mm. Minimum order is 500 m.
We also convert your fabrics into binding tapes. Minimum is 1 roll of fabric (25-50 m).
Do you need another width or quality, please contact us for production possibilities. 

The machine tape can be applied by binding machine only using special solvent. The self adhesive tape is suitable for the handmade making of lampshades and for the manufacture using the binding machine as well.

Use binding tape as decorative element

VPF-Amsterdam stocks a wide range of double tape in different qualities and widths. Double sided tape is multifunctional. This is a "green" way to manufacture your lampshade without any glue.

Our collection of double side tape is available in range from 3 up to 18 mm wide. Choose the suitable width depending on the wire diameter and size of the lampshade.
 

APPLICATION OF THE DOUBLE SIDED TAPE

Apply double sided tape of 3-4 mm wide to the ring to glue frame into a dye-cut.

Suitable double sided tapes:
6116.03 - 2-3 mm, glue layer only
6221.04 - 4 mm, glue layer with scrim
 

Apply double sided tape of 10-18 mm wide, depending on the size of the lampshade, along the side joint to close the lampshade.

Suitable double sided tapes:
6116.12 - 12 mm, glue layer only, for transparent materials.
6221.12 - 12 mm, glue with scrim, perfect for papers.
6223.12 - 12 mm, extra strong and thick glue layer with scrim, for thick fabrics and big lampshades.

Apply double sided tape of 9-12 mm to the fabric edges to finish a rolled edge lampshade.

6116.09 - 9mm, universal
6116.12 - 12 mm, universal
6007.12 - 12 mm, strong
 

Suitable for 16 mm tape and 2,8-3,0 mm wire.

Art. 151116 Tape guider 
You can order this part of the binding machine separated. The guider is intended for tape of 16 mm wide. 
Guider for 19 mm tape is available on demand.

Art. 150901  Rubber wheel
You can order this part of the binding machine separated. We advise you exchange this part at least 1 time per year. The wheel is intended for frames of 2.8-3.0 mm thick. Rubber wheel for 3.0-3.5 mm frames is available on demand.

Art. 151200  Spliter for self adhesive tape.
You can use self adhesive on your binding machine when installing this spliter. Spliter separates protection paper from self adhesive tape before it comes in the tape guider and can be applied on the shade.

Art. 150800 Removable knife
This knife is especially designed for working with removable laminated material. The blade can be adjusted to pre-cut the foil.

Need to laminate a short length of fabric for a special order?

You can benefit from our range of self adhesive PVC films. Adhesives and solvents are no longer required! 
The materials adhere at once, and do not need to cure before use!
Wide range of self adhesive foils includes white and transparent, glass clear and opal, mat and shiny gold and silver, foils, B1 pvc, etc. We have even the 2-sided self adhesive pvc!

Customers who find lamination on self-adhesive PVC film an unwelcome chore, or are unable to achieve the quality they require, can benefit from VPF-Amsterdam’s lamination facilities. We can laminate fabrics on a variety of types of PVC – and all with the perfect quality you require.

Need a shade with rolled edges, without binding tape?               
No matching tape for your special fabric? 

VPF has the solution - our removable laminated materials. These are fabrics sticked to the foil with special glue.

Almost all our fabrics can be removable laminated. 

For example: 
66800307      Chintz brown, standard laminated on white pvc.
66800307PS Chintz brown, removable laminated on white pvc.

VPF keeps the most popular Chintz colours removable laminated on stock. Minimum order - only 10 m!
It is easy to order when purchasing materials in our webshop: choose Removable glue in Select glue bar.

P.S. Maximal storing and processing time of removable laminated materials is 2 months.

Using our Removable Knife or a cutting machine (plotter) you can put a pre-cut on the foil. Snap back the pre-cut line to break the foil and remove the foil strip. Roll the leftover fabric edge behind the lampshade frame.
 

VPF laminates fabrics double sided on demand: on different pvc-foils and in different combinations. 
We can either use VPF's fabrics or your own fabrics for double lamination.

This process is more labour-intensive and therefore special laminating prices apply as well as special delivery times. Minimum order is 15 m.

If you have a small order for a couple of double laminated shades, VPF offers double sided self adhesive pvc.
