Fire proof lampshade foils
Did you know that all our foils are specially designed and produced for the lighting industry? Most of them meet the FR M1 European fire-retardant standard. We standardly laminate our fabrics with FR PVC foils, available in various colours and thicknesses to suit different applications. Several of these foils are also available in a self-adhesive version – our ZKPVC series.
What is Fire retardant?
Fire retardant refers to a material or treatment that helps slow down or prevent the spread of fire.
It does not mean the material is completely fireproof, but it will resist ignition, burn more slowly, prevent the formation of burning dripping particles, and — in the case of FR M1 certification — self-extinguish within 2 seconds after the flame source is removed.
